In this specialty program, you gain the skills and knowledge needed to navigate safely and confidently underwater. You’ll learn how to use a compass and natural navigation techniques, estimate distances, navigate to and from a designated point including basic navigation patterns. You’ll also learn how to combine these navigation techniques to enhance your diving experience. All this improves your underwater observation skills, enhances your diving safety, and helps you get the most out of every dive. Upon completion, you’ll earn the SSI Navigation Specialty certification.
